I can't judge very well how long it would last your daughter, I'm a grandfather now and I've lost track of how fast kids grow. I think it depends on size more than age. My granddaughter is 9 but she is always the smallest girl in her class and the boat is going too fit her for a while. If she was a big kid, not so long. Here is the best thing I can say: making these boats is fast, easy, and cheap. I thought people were kidding when they said a few hours but it is true. Mine was done within two weeks, while finishing off a double stripper and doing other stuff as well. So when she outgrows it I'll just throw another bigger one together.
