I have the Porter Cable 343K for 3 to 4 years. I used it to build numerous furniture and built-in projects, plus two kayaks. It works great with no problems.. I have had problems with the Ryobi and Bosch in base pad separation.

My wife bought me a little B&D mouse sander for Christmas years ago, and I discovered this sander works great in sanding the inside of your kayak, but durability is only good for about two years. I wait until Lowe's has a sale on them and I pick up one up for less than $25.

This little B&D has made sanding the interior tolerable. The last one only cost me $9 because I bought the 2 year replacement contract and return it to Lowes after it slow down.
