I think if you do woodwork for a living a 450 dollar tool is a write off. Most home builders can't write off their tools. Plus you have one pair of lungs and I would do whatever I can to preserve them.

BTW: I still have my 2nd cheap skill circular saw that has been beat to death several times over and is still working fine. $29.95. I cut up oak pallets for kindling all the time and help by brother with home improvement jobs etc. It just won't quit - at least 20+ years old.

If I was making my living with woodworking, you better believe i would have the best tools - actually I would be using more air tools than electric.
