I think I saw Nick using one as well.

I have the Metabo SXE400 3-1/8" random orbital, I have not sprung for the Festool RO90 which is slightly bigger. Given my experience with my other Festool, I am considering the RO90, but I have a good inventory of disks for the Metabo so, I'll probably hold off on spending $400 for the Festool.

The Metabo is quite nice. With a vacuum it is pretty good with dust collection. It is also pretty low-profile so it does a decent job getting into the ends of the hull interior. The downside is its speed control. If you lift it off the surface it will spin up. You need to shut off the tool and let it spin down before touching the surface again. This is a common problem with older sanders, but is not a problem with the Festool.

The Festool looks taller, but is probably more powerful and aggressive.
