Hi Chris,
Wind can set up a disturbing wobble but at 120 km /hr.[car speed in excess of our humble speed limit]
This tow ball post, I made, is worth considering.It swivels and the rack cradle spilts down the middle so I can lift and swing the big boat onto it,single handedly, then shuv the missing side under the yak.These two went up together but I did need help! .As john says the humble truckie knot and the right lengths of rope tell you that you have done it right when ,perhaps, you are at your most forgetful. Proprietry anything I shun,because I can.
