I see some differences, but the bow and stern sure look like Nick's. That said, really we are all copying ancient designs, so with kayaks it is hard to say, "Hey, that's MY design!" I guess I'm saying in a court of law, so to speak, it would be hard to prove even though you may have some original aspects to your design. I had a guy copy my design, then write me telling me he copied it but "changed a few things" and now he is selling the design. Karma sucks- that's all I will say. It's very difficult in the kayak and surf industry to defend a patent on any design. Change a little here and there and it is no longer the same design (legally) even if it is almost the same.

Now, the guy that posted the picture of Nick rowing the boat that Nick built, and claiming it was him rowing his own design- THAT was a ripoff!!!!
