Now epoxying a dowel joining 2 halves.
I 'll try the same weight on shaft method as the launch point to the kayak deck. See if the dowel snaps.
The broken shaft joint attempt was first use of diver's belt rigging for the paddle's kayak end. Prior attemps failed immediately from extreme stress on the deck's shock cords.
The snapped shaft jump was immediately succesful. I was AIRBORNE to the deck when the shaft broke.
