A paddle float full shaft support re entry was onboard first try, second try was succesful turnaround into cockpit ( I fell out first try ). Using the diver's belt rig on rear deck, deck intact no stress markers.

I have not ascended the rear deck using a leg kick out of the water. using an ankle over shaft, one hand on top shaft end, one hand on coaming and zammmm in we go following kick and lift up.

AB shaft appears straight as before.

Now the hangup here is the spare paddle is mounted full length on my Solstice. Bow end under a 1/8th shock cord, rear blade under fore deck stock rigging. Tho the mount has run thru heavy water, the method is not acceptable as fail proof only expedient...over 6 years. Which is to say, I have not swalled a blade even submarining in troughs or running the drunks ' displacement hull's wooden wake.

Is this an answer for an unasked question ? Works for me, there is the online suggestion of float bag difficulty for some , how many ?

A tube of higher quality than the AB with a SOLID center joint splice would do the work.

A torsioned tube ? How would you draw that ? Forces are not table top. An intersecting spiral ? In CF of course.

I'm not dissing Greenland paddles. I'm a novice. Greenland paddles appear nonsensical but obviously effective as a traditional design. You're perspective before trying a Greenland ?

I also warm water warm water tested Kokotat's paddle shirt as my skin bumps were complaining abt the wet suit. AAA+ shirt ! You know 'like' expletive deleted it's worth the $$$.
