Skin-on-Frame: Determine rib length from kayak plans

I am considering a Greenland style boat and I can't figure out how to determine the rib lengths to cut before steaming. Can you estimate accurately from the drawings or with a tape measure or do yo need these dimensions from a completed boat? Thanks. JH
