The photo below shows what the finished product looks like. (This is not just what it looked like the day I did it. This is what it looks like today.)

Great pic; thanks. The pic shows epoxy 'puddled' on the surface (shiny areas) and also a lot of classic 'cloth floating up on epoxy' .... all the stuff you removed with the squeegee on the later steps in your build.

Good thing you were smart enough to just 'suck it up' and not try to 'sand it flat' which would have cut the glass everywhere. (mantra:'It's a boat, not a violin...")

I usually just 'keep working' - by the time I've wetted out the entire hull or deck, the areas I started on are usually ready to start removing excess resin with the squeegee.

BTW, the inside of the hull (especially in a S&G boat) is one of the trickier areas to glass.
