This is a problem when out of country. FedEx ships to Manila only and then they turn it over to a local delivery company. This company takes the package to customs where you are charged 150% on the cost of your package, including the shipping it too to get to the PH. The delivery service gets half and the customs guy gets the other half.

USPS comes direct to our home without customs. It only takes two days more then FedEx.

USPS-$4/pound
FedEx-$32/pound

If you can it is helpful to establish a relationship with a local customs person. They will then get your package from Manila customs to you at no charge. This won''t work with FedEx. They will screw you no matter what.
