Marc, you're right on target!

West Systems recent "EpoxyWorks" newsletter has an article by Ted Moores about using thinned epoxy.

While West doesn't tell Ted to "take a hike!" they do suggest thinning with solvents is Ted's opinion and
West recommends thinning with heat rather than with solvents.

West says it's epoxy is 50% thinner at 80˚ than at 70˚.

Heating resin alone is useless if applied to cold materials.
