I have been wondering lately about the idea of two skegs: one fore and one aft. I was figuring that for turning upwind and pointing upwind when at rest a small (half sized retractable fin) up in the bow, and the standard fin in the stern.

Part of the reason is to aid photographing. I like to get the bow in the shot, but as soon as one stops to deploy the camera the boat tends to fall off to a broadside.

Has anyone ever come across such a notion, or am I just barking mad?
