I have been running an informal test. I have a 1/4"x1/4" piece of mahogany glued to a piece of WRC the same dimensions, about 2' long. It was glued with GF2002, which is high quality glue without doubt, but makes no claim to any amount of waterproofness. I've used The resultant piece of wood as a garden stake for holding up flowers for two summers. It's spent 3 winters lying on the ground. It's been propped up along a fence post and watered with a sprinkler every day it doesn't rain this summer. After 4 years there is no sign of failure in the joint. Anywhere. So, I'm just going to leave it laying out by the fence. Informal, but real world.
