Hi Leon.
The Sea tour is a great kayak. I have built two singles and a double of that design. They are very stable for beginners and nicely responsive as your skills grow. I've had mine out in some pretty rough water and it handled it great. I lash my frames instead of gluing and use nylon skin and urethane coating from the skin boat store. The skin is sold by the yard so for 16' kayak 6 yards will be just about right.
