Curves are sexy, period. If you want your woodworking to be renowned, all ya gotta do is add curvy stuff wherever it may look better than boxy stuff, and be on the lookout for opportunities (and don't stop sanding too soon).

Dovetails take practice any way you slice 'em. Even if you get good at it, you won't stay good without practice. Well, most of us won't, anyway.

Malcolm, you hit a nail on the head here, as far as I'm concerned -- building boats adds a whole new level to a woodworker's skill set, even if he (or she, we want/need/must have more women in this!!) is already a professional cabinetmaker.
