Wanted to try out a new fabric and needed a boat. My Sling Shot was in good shape, but there was on issue I was not happy with, so I it became the Guinea pig. Just finished it up and ready to take it to the water.

Spent some time working on the methods for sewing this stitch. Have no idea if it has a name or not. But I was able to pull the 11 oz polyester drum tight with no pull holes. I mean snare drum, not bass drum tight if I wanted.

Painted and ready for rigging out. I am loving the new colors too!

No perimeter lines at the moment. I like the look without them but I will probably add them latter on. I don't have the webbing to make the anchor points at the moment.

I have started finishing the both ends of my boats with a the small brass half oval. Excellent rub strips and I like the finished look it gives. I have nothing against a sewn seam but I just never liked the way they look below the shear line. I think this looks much better.

Now I just need to find some time to paddle it.
