Off Topic: repaired Fiberglass kayak
I'm looking at purchasing a mid-90's fiberglass kayak (Sealution, if you really want to know). The price is right, and it will be my first sit in kayak. The Yost SOF is still sitting unfinished in the basement, and likely won't be done till the winter when I'm forced indoors.
The question... if a fiberglass hull is repaired well, are there any major pitfalls to buying a repaired kayak? This boat has been used hard, and the seller is very upfront about the fact that it has 3 patches. It was his main kayak last season, and he is looking to upgrade.
Thanks for your insight.
