As hatch openings get larger, they are more likely to leak and require a better hatch to deck fit to compress the gasket properly. I'm surprised to see you only have two center pull down points on your hatches, thanks for the photo.

Two points has worked well so far. With the correct gasket very little force is needed to compress the foam and create a seal. If done right, the seal can be too good. The lids can often be a bugger to remove due to the negative air pressure that can build up inside (oil-canning in the sun). A 1/16" hole drilled in the bulkhead helps equalize the pressure.
