I have a feeling she changed ownership a couple of times when on Waiheke, so I wouldn't think the guy I sold it too was Mark. But she has covered the country!

I deliberately chose the WR180 design because it had the capacity of carrying a weeks worth of camping gear yet wasn't too enormous a yak to handle. I also have a feeling that I lowered its deck slightly from the original design as well so I wouldn't rattle around in the cockpit, the bow does have more reinforcing then the design called for (I used it for rock gardening a lot) and there are a couple of extra layers of fibreglass cloth on the hull for the same reason. I'm not one to follow plans too closely so there are a few non-standard features on her.

For the places its been you can add most of the top half of the North Island from Parengarenga Harbour down to Tairua, circumnavigation of nearly all the central Nth Isl lakes including Waikaremoana and Taupo (it handled 45knt winds here), and of course all of the Hauraki Gulf.
