Hi John,

I've got the same basic thing in the ceiling of my garage, have 5 kayaks and my canoe up there. I did replace the cheap rivits used for axles with 1/4x20 bolts for more security, though that requires drilling out the rivits and opening up the holes for the larger bolts. Would be a bad thing to have a kayak drop onto the car.
