The Rendevous was indeed a great event that a lot of people miss. It would be great to get something similar going. Michael at Newfound Woodworks did a great job organizing it, including figuring out camping, organizing meals etc. It got to be a lot for one person in a small business to handle both logistically and monetarily. If we could do something that was perhaps a step down from what Michael did but several steps up from the Meet at the Beach, I think it could be a lot of fun.

I know Joe Greenley has organized a rendezvous coming up this weekend in Port Townsend http://www.redfishkayak.com/moreinfo.htm It would be great to get something like it going again out here on the east coast.
