Folks could I ask for your collective wisdom on I problem I have? I have glassed the inside of the hull and deck of my Night Heron and have realised that the deck will not fit snugly to the hull. There is about a 10 cm/4" overhang of the hull. The hull seems to have curved inwards when I glassed it. I'm able to spread the hull a fair bit and have considered building an internal frame to the glass the deck and hull together but am a bit worried about the amount of pressure being placed on the hull.
Should I just sand it back and start again? Would applying heat allow some reshaping? Or should I continue down the path of internally framing to widen the hull (hopefully not epoxying the frame to the inside)?
Any advice appreciated.
