Tom, I just finished my first strip kayak, a Spring Run I love it. Thanks Joe Greenley. I used minicell shop anti fatigue floor mats. I got them from Harbor Freight 24" x 24"x 1/2". Four panels per package for $10.00. I only used 2 panel to make the seat. I followed the instructions from the One ocean kayak web site. I added 4 layers in a U shape on the top of the seat to " lock-in" my butt.
It works great. Use contact cement to glue the pieces of mat togather.
