Our Mandurah Over 55's Canoe Club has a Member over 90 years of age who is still a regular participant in Club paddles and has been honoured by granting him Life membership (think he is actually 92 but that would be telling ). He manages to load his P&H Cetus (sorry, it is kevlar not home built) onto his trailer at home but the younger(?) Members unload it for him at the start point and re-load it back on to the trailer after the paddle.
However he has no trouble keeping up with the "casual pack" on the water.
Keep paddling all the way until the 6' long x 14" wide hard chine, snub nosed, covered top, 'final kayak' gets you.
