I just ran out of the horribly expensive boat paint everyone suggest I not use.

I went to several paint stores.

So far no one has any actual oil based paint.

They try to sell me ...... something, until I say I am painting Dacron. Then they hold up a cross like I am an agent of the Devil.

Please tell me what oil based paint you recommend and where you got it.

OBTW, the next boat will be screaming Neon Yellow, if I can find it.
I don't think I want latex - if I have a choice.
