I couldn't resist. Today was the first day of release. I pulled the trigger and ordered the New Veritas shooter with the PMV-11 blade. (Curiosity killed the cat on the PMV-11 but Otherwise I would have gone with the standard blade.) it's more for furniture work, but certainly will find use in strip building for cleaning up miters. YES, this is overkill and you can shoot with a No. 5, but it was just so pretty and I wanted to hold it. Seriously, I do a lot of shooting board work and have always wanted a dedicated shooter.

Also they released a great little chisel plane that would be wonderful for cleaning up glue lines and trimming dowels among other things.
