Re: Strip: New to Kayak building
In Response To: Strip: New to Kayak building (sepk)
I'm a fellow Atlanta woodworker and strip builder. First boat was a Redfish Spring Run from plans and since have built two Wee Lassie solo canoes from Mac McCarthy's featherweight boatbuilding book. We've found we enjoy drifting down narrow rivers so the canoes are getting lots of use. I still do enjoy taking the kayak to local lakes but it is a bit more to handle. If you want to yak about stripbuilding or the local waters, feel free to e-mail me, iancummins@comcast.net.
BTW, be prepared for lots of comments/compliments on your new boat.... most of the strippers in Atlanta are at the Cheetah Club!
