Spent about 1/2 of today in the shop. The gunwales were scarfed to length and the centreline & backrest position were marked already. I had some confusion based on the instruction in the book I'm using (Morris) but decided there was only one way it made any sense so I made a decision to move forward.

Got the footrest, masik, likely position of the kneebrace, deck beams and ribs marked off. Got all the rib mortises done with a drill & chisel. Thought that part was going to be hell, but it went pretty quickly - I got the last 14 done is less than 40 minutes.

I ordered skin & urethane earlier this week so I'm hoping I will be ready for it when it arrives!
