Hi Allan,

I've tried wrapping webbing around with padded blocks just touching the deck edge and then winding on the webbing to increase pressure, but this also forces the hull and deck closer together and so makes it harder for the 2 edges to move relaitive to each other.

Separating the halves again, forcing the hull wider and using a heat lamp (or sun) sounds like a good idea.
