I'd really like to copy the look of John Caldera's Guillemot S, whose cockpit was based of the Spring Run. I've got a cockpit template that I like and that appears to fit a Seals 1.4 skirt. Now I'm trying to create a complementary shape for the recess. I'd previously seen some recommendations for how to size a recess, which I thought were on this forum. But now I can't seem to locate them. I'm now thinking that I'll make the cockpit opening 3" in the front and 4" larger in the rear, and widen the recess more in the rear.
