I don't know about paracord, I use some stuff from a mountain climbing shop: http://www.mountainsports.com/MSmain.asp?Option=List&ShowImages=Yes the rope is called "static cord" by "Blue Water"
They have a fairly good range of colors.

I believe the same line is sold multiple places, possibly REI, certainly Backwoods here locally, and I think NRS.

Mountain sports does ship orders on a normal basis.
