Strips are 3/16" thick, but as I was stripping I would find a few that were thinner or wider in the middle of a strip. I had a hard time with 10' boards moving on me as I ripped. I was as careful as I could be about lining up the outside edges as I stripped. Just this weekend I finished stripping and sanding the deck. Looking at the underside I've got unevenness in several places. I'll sand this as best I can and then use epoxy+filler to get it flush before sanding. Hopefully I'll do better on the second boat.
