I'll sand this as best I can and then use epoxy+filler to get it flush before sanding.

If you have much 'filling' to do, I think it would pay to buy a canister of WEST Microlight fairing filler. You'll use less epoxy, and not add much weight. It's also easy to sand.

I know it's not as 'strong' as silica or microfibers, but I think it's 'strong enough' for filling some low spots/divots.
