A lady just built one of my boats with a Hobie Mirage pedal drive - pretty cool, and all the mods were her doing. I have flirted with this idea, but I'm glad someone else tried it out and proved the concept.

Having never used one, I never considered that there might be a rudder needed - I assumed you could steer with your feet (is this accurate?).
