That made me laugh. I can't tell you how many tools I have made that exact way. The chip carving knives made this way have been particularly useful. Just shape the broken hacksaw blade with a file or grinder, crimp it into the copper pipe, and jam a piece of broom handle into the hollow end for a handle.
