No scuppers (or rudder). I didn't think either were needed for a 12ft long boat for a kid. I got a kayak pump/water cannon thingy from CLC - that should be more entertaining for my daughter anyway. Both would be necessary in a full sized surfski though. I would think you could widen the keel by an inch or so where the scupper and rudder go and mount through the keel.
