Strip: Lightweight Mystery Wood?
I went to the Miller's River Challenge in MA Saturday. Lots of strip-built racing canoes. I was talking to a fellow about strip building, and he mentioned that he was using a lightweight, super-flexible wood for his canoe build. I can't remember the name, but it sounded exotic and had a "J" in it. Can't be jojoba, because that's heavy and dense.
