I am planning on building a CLC sport tandem kayak from plans. I'm hoping to do this as inexpensively as possible. I don't mind sacrificing a bit on cosmetics, but I don't want to compromise on structural integrity. It seems like I can save a bit of money by using Meranti plywood from Noahsmarine, rather than the okoume that comes with the kits. Does anyone have experience using BS1088 Meranti 4mm Hydrotek for building a CLC stitch and glue boat? Are there any other plywood suppliers I should consider?
