S&G: CLC sport tandem vs CLC Double

I am trying to decide between a Chesapeake Sport Tandem and a Chesapeake Double. My wife and I really like covering a lot of miles quickly and are able to pack light, so the Sport Tandem is appealing. However, I would also like to add the CLC sail rig at some point and am worried that the extra weight would make it so we couldn't pack much gear at all in the sport tandem. Does anyone have any experience with either of these boats? Thanks.
