maybe i did not do a good job decribing the problem.
i know by having paddled both boats that i am more 'correctly' sized for the high deck.
AND I already assembled the strong-back with the high forms.
so this is my last chance to make any 'adjustments' before really being committed.
the point is that the high deck is not simply taller than the low deck version. the foredeck on the high-deck model is more 'peaked' with a pretty clear/hard center ridge down the middle. the low deck version has a much more rounded shaped deck. so what i am looking to do is to modify the forms such that i preserve the taller deck but round over the peak. since the area i want to round over isn't where the knees go, i think this is more a cosmetic issue of how do i execute getting the rounded deck on the taller version without mucking it up.
