Mike,

I don't have an option of a sea sock.
This is for a friend and he doesn't take suggestions very well.

I was going to coat the inside, then the outside with a normal painting operation.
It will add a little extra weight, but I hope will keep it looking better over the years.
I took a look at the first SOF I built and the inside looks like an old dirty air filter.
