I guess you could say I had a close encounter with a group of loons. They winter here and I love to see them. Especially love to hear a chatty one. Monday I was out early and saw a large group of them on the river and stopped to watch them for a moment.

To my surprise several of the group started swimming toward me. Several got really close but these four I thought were going to come right up to me! I have never had this happen before. This boat is has an 'eye' painted on the bow so I wonder if that had something to do with it. Regardless I loved it!
