The eye can be trusted to get the lines fair, but the brain gets a role to play too. The skin only has limited stiffness, and strength only in tension. Providing strength and stiffness is the job of the stringers, gunnels and keel. Some designs have heavy keel and gunnels with fewer and lighter stringers and some designs have a good part of the strength and stiffness in the stringers. If the gunnels and keel seem light then have some stringers closer to them, if they are heavy you can concentrate the stringers in the bottom and turn of bilge for control of shape. That would be my reading of the situation . . .

Those frames seem rather massive, I wonder if they'll be obtrusive in the finished boat.
