Well so far I like the polyurethane (I'm using Gorilla Glue) more than a PVA emulsion (Tite-Bond et al.). The advantages appear to be that it has a longer working time than a PVA, and I think it fills gaps better as it foams up. It sands nicely as well. I have learned that you can prevent the black adhesive layer from forming on your fingers (which can take almost a week to wash off) by vigorously rubbing in GoJo immediately after you finish applying a strip. The down sides are it is more expensive, and has a shorter shelf life.
