At the moment the pool is protected from intruders by several inches of ice, which seems to be very effective. Bolts and hair-trigger latches are mounted high and there are notices on the inside requesting meter readers to please ensure the gates are closed. Can't use locks because meter folk have to enter. There is the same difficulty with pythons, crocodiles and attack dogs, but if I can get fresh-water sharks that glow at night and can survive the annual freeze-up . . . now I really have to stop tying up this thread!!
