We have heaps of ply on site but it is all 6mm x 900x1200. Not much bending can get done with this. Good for bulkheads but not much else.
Got some good news this afternoon. My boss was on skype with me and he is very much interested in helping out the local communities where we work, so I told him about our little project and he is very keen to help out.
With some of his financial and logistical support, bringing in some epoxy and fibreglass strips is now an option.
This is all very early days. The project will only start rolling when we get back from our Christmas break. Hopefully by then I will have decided on a specific design and we can start.
Tomorrow i am going to see the premises that the town council is going to make available for the duration.
Before we get going I will setup a facebook account and keep things posted. It will also be very good for the local boys.
Communication will be interesting. Most of them only speak Arabic and a few words of French. I I only have a very limited knowledge of French so.....
