Like Allan, my closed-cell seat was a friction-fit.
It fits snugly against both the thigh supports and
a bulkhead.
Unlike Allan, my seat is tethered to the hull so if,
for example, we take tumble through the surf zone,
the seat will stay with the boat.

Now, years later, my seat is a looser fit than it was
and it still works just fine.
