Nice looking seat. I have used 2" Velcro to hold my seats in place. Like others have said, use a tether or something else on the seat also if your spending time in the surf. The only glue that I have had success with is epoxy. Lightly sand the hull and or seat and the back side of the velcro, apply a coat of epoxy on the seat or hull, lay the Velcro on the epoxy and make sure to bring some of the epoxy up over the edge of the velcro.
