For people to understand what he's talking about, OC-1, might take a look at this site: http://www.huki.com/

OC-1's and 2's are normally paddled with a canoe paddle (of sorts) since the drag is obviously higher on one side. The other option might be a boat like Huki's dragon boats, with two short amas set fairly close to the hull (they should be clear of the water while paddling, only enter the water to provide stability.
